Envelope etiquette
- Odd amounts (₩30,000, ₩50,000, ₩70,000) are traditional; ₩100,000 is the usual exception.
- Use new bills for weddings, but not for funerals, where crisp bills can look as if you expected the death.
- Write 祝結婚 or 祝華婚 on the front of a wedding envelope, 賻儀 or 謹弔 on a funeral envelope, and your name on the back, bottom left.
