Bill Splitter (Dutch Pay)
Enter the total and the number of people to see what everyone sends to the person who paid. Koreans call this "dutch pay" or N-bbang.
How the split works
Each share is the total divided by the number of people. When it doesn't divide evenly, everyone else rounds up and the person who paid covers the rest, so nobody is short. For example, ₩100,000 split three ways is ₩33,334 for each friend and ₩33,332 for the payer.
| Total | 2 people | 3 people | 4 people | 5 people | 6 people |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| ₩50,000 | ₩25,000 | ₩16,700 | ₩12,500 | ₩10,000 | ₩8,400 |
| ₩87,000 | ₩43,500 | ₩29,000 | ₩21,800 | ₩17,400 | ₩14,500 |
| ₩100,000 | ₩50,000 | ₩33,400 | ₩25,000 | ₩20,000 | ₩16,700 |
| ₩123,000 | ₩61,500 | ₩41,000 | ₩30,800 | ₩24,600 | ₩20,500 |
| ₩250,000 | ₩125,000 | ₩83,400 | ₩62,500 | ₩50,000 | ₩41,700 |
Leaving someone out of the drinks
Of a ₩100,000 bill, ₩30,000 was drinks and one of four people didn't drink. The shared ₩70,000 is split four ways (₩17,500 each) and the drinks three ways (₩10,000 each), so drinkers pay ₩27,500 and the non-drinker ₩17,500.
Different shares
Set 1.5× for a big eater or 0× for the birthday friend. For ₩70,000 with shares 1, 1.5, 0 and 1, the shares add up to 3.5, so 1× is ₩20,000: ₩20,000 / ₩30,000 / ₩0 / ₩20,000.
